What we collect
The contact form collects your name, email address, optional phone number, enquiry category and message. The volunteer form also asks for location, age group, interests, languages, skills, availability, motivation and any participation support you choose to mention.
Why we collect it
We use the information to respond to enquiries, assess volunteer applications, discuss suitable roles and support, and maintain necessary records of those conversations. Submitting a volunteer application does not guarantee placement.
Form delivery
Website forms use a third-party form relay to transmit submissions to Gurushala’s email account. The relay processes the information you submit for delivery and spam protection. If you prefer not to use the form, email info@gurushala.org directly.
Sensitive information
Please do not submit identity document numbers, banking details, detailed health records or other unnecessary sensitive information. If participation support is needed, share only enough information to begin a private conversation.
Children and young people
A volunteer applicant under 18 will require a discussion with a parent or guardian before any placement. Safeguarding requirements apply to all relevant activities.
Storage and sharing
Submissions are accessible only to people who need them for the relevant enquiry or volunteer process. We do not sell personal information. We retain information only while it is reasonably needed for that purpose, safeguarding, accountability or applicable record-keeping obligations.
Your choices
You may ask us to correct or delete information you submitted, subject to any legitimate safeguarding or record-keeping need. Contact info@gurushala.org.
Language preference
The website stores your selected Gujarati, Hindi or English preference in your browser using local storage.
